Spring Into Summer New Start Binge!

Hello all! Have you read Rachel's great post? We had been talking about new starts as a distraction from all the new stress, and now with the Olympics postponed till next year, we thought having some new starts sooner rather than later might be fun. There's nothing quite like that feeling of starting something new, even if it's adding to our fairly significant WIP piles.

I'm hoping to have a few smalls like ornaments with the new starts and I might just do 9, one for each weekend in April and May, but might get talked into 17. I haven't had that many new starts since doing the Crazy January/February challenges back a few years ago. Which is why I have so many WIPs as it is.

Ponder Cliparts

I haven't quite decided if I'm going to add WIPs into the mix. I've been stitching a fair bit on them with all the stress, work changes, etc., but still have quite a ways to go on several of the projects.

If you're interested in something to get your mind off of the pandemic and everything else that's a nice safe thing to do at home while we stay in self-isolation, consider joining in with Rachel and I! Even if it's only one or two new starts, think about it. :)

Happy Stitching and stay safe!

Gifted Gorgeousness - March 2020 Edition

Here we are, halfway through March already and it's that time again to show off the projects we've been given or are giving away to someone.

Check out Jo's blog for all the fun and I hope you've all been staying safe and healthy! Also, thank you so much for your kind words. I am glad that I caught the flu well before COVID-19 showed up in the US and didn't have that worry as well. I do work in health care, so being extra cautious is the current norm. Stay safe everyone!

On to the fun stuff, stitching! All of these are likely for DD. :)

Mini Winter Magic got a fair bit of progress while I was recovering. I thought it would be good to work on some confetti since my stitching speed was fairly slow anyway and enjoy the process.

Princess and the Dragon - it's over halfway complete! 55% according to Pattern Keeper, and that app makes stitching this so much easier! I still feel a finish this year is out of the question, especially as the conference I usually stitch at is being reschedule for who-knows-when, but you never know. I'm very much enjoying it.

Letters from Nora (H) - look what finally came back out! I do think it's possible to get both this one and the G complete this year, so I think they may stay out for a while.

Butterfly Quote - this has come out recently for the Jodyri/KLT/Circus competition this month. It's on Facebook if you're interested, although we're well underway at this point. At certain times you have to stitch with hand-dyed thread, or on a Jodyri/KLT/Circus design, so this is a Jodyri design with Jodyri thread mostly. It may get a little more work this month as well.

Look for Rainbows - this is a new start for the competition and I liked the concept of this one, even though it's quite simple.

Mini Waterhole Master - I hope to get another 2K or so into this one this month and then pick up Faery Tales again. I'm trying to work in 4K blocks to see decent progress on each one before switching.

And I'm back full in the swing of stitching, plus the current level of stress has me stitching more to help my anxiety, so look for more progress coming up.

Fingers crossed we can get ahead of this globally.

Happy Stitching!

Fully Finished Gallery - March 2020

Hello again! I swear I didn't fall off the face of the blogging earth this time. I caught the 'flu a few weeks ago and was down and out for several days, including missing work and not even having energy to stitch, can you imagine? Anyway, back again and hopefully will continue my schedule of more frequent posts that I managed for the first 6 weeks of the year.

Please check out Rachel's blog for everyone's posts as I only have one lonely little photo this month. As with everything, it was finished before I became ill. And here it is:

stitched as charted except for a small mistake that no one can see anyway :)

This was started a few years ago, so it was nice to get it finished and fully finished, so it is ready to gift for Christmas this year.

I hope you all had a good month and have stayed healthy!

Happy Stitching,

Delay Again, Anyone Surprised? :)

Hello all! So, with all those well-laid plans in place, of course, the following Thursday I injured my right elbow and hadn't been able ...
