CJC Day 10 - Fry and Leela from Sprite Stitch

Today is a big day of combo posts! First off will be my CJC post since Turtle Trot and YOTA are in some ways similar and will combine some of my WIPs/UFOs.

I found this Fry and Leela pattern on Sprite Stitch. I started it about a month before our anniversary in 2012 and still have yet to finish it for an anniversary gift. I definitely want to get it done this year. It's stitched on 16 count grey aida with DMC colours as charted except I subbed 550 for 820 for Leela's hair.

I last touched this some time in 2014.

And after tonight's stitching I'm a little farther along. I managed to stitch to the top of Leela's hair in the light brown and I'll work on the part between Fry and Leela next.

I plan on adding a little message at the bottom with our marriage date, and I found a Futurama alphabet on Sprite Stitch as well that I'll use for the lettering.
